About the Artist

A Lyric Bass-Baritone, Scott performed most recently with Coópera as Collatinus in the 2008 production of The Rape of Lucretia. Additionally, he donned the role of Sarastro and Sprecher in their Die Zauberflöte production.  Mr. Elliott has performed with Opera New Jersey, Connecticut Opera, Baltimore Opera, Chautauqua Opera, and American Opera Theater among others.  He received his BA in Music from Virginia Tech, and is a Masters’ graduate of the Peabody Institute in Trombone and Voice.  Previous voice teachers include John Shirley-Quirk, Steven Rainbolt, and W. Stephen Smith.  Since Mr. Smith’s departure from NYC, Scott has begun vocal study with Claudia Friedlander.  Mr. Elliott currently resides in Washington Heights. As an avid runner, Scott is eagerly awaiting his first NYC Marathon on November 6th.
